For a good finish on the acrylic edges, all cutting tools must be sharp. Most hand tools designed for use with wood or soft metals are suitable for use with acrylic, with the exception of laminate cutters, guillotine and blanking dies. Most power tools will work, and HSS tool bits are suitable for achieving a good cut finish. For long runs, tungsten carbide inserts and tool bits are recommend for prolong life.
